It started at LEGO
LEGO itself was, more than twenty years ago, the first organization to use the LEGO Serious Play method as a strategic intervention. Their intention back then to develop future scenarios. The method is still used for this: to develop vision and over the years, countless applications have been added (see our portfolio). However, the key of the method still is unlocking organizational intelligence.
Learning experience that lasts
Depending on the duration of a workshop and the number of participants, the result varies in depth and impact. We always notice, however, that our sessions provide a lasting learning experience. Partly because of the enthusiastic energy while playing with other participants.
Mainly because we involve everyone present. Every concept matters. We ignite imagination in a way that is fun.
From individual building
Our workshops (whether they take half a day or more) always start with individual building. With a number of quick exercises we ensure that everyone feels comfortable building and making stories.
As the workshop unfolds we see the buildings and stories getting richer. And they get more depth.
At the same time, we see that participants are more focused and getting in flow.
To a shared vision
As facilitators, we guide participants through various building rounds. In which they exchange their stories each time. Step-by-step the challenges that we pose lead towards the desired outcome of the workshop.
Ultimately, we also take the step from individual to shared building. In this way they create a joint picture of the desired outcome, including the path towards it.
The joint picture will be explained at the end of the session. Participants often remember this for a long time.
Professional Play is the club that we have formed with the four of us. We are certified LEGO Serious Play facilitators with a total of over thirty years experience in this method. Our guidance depends on the size of your challenge and company. You will always get one of us and when needed we involve certified facilitators from our ‘tribe’.
We prepare the workshop in close consultation with our clients. This way of working is also part of the LEGO Serious Play method.
We explore the desired outcomes beforehand and the starting point from which we organize the workshop. Depending on the situation we can do this face to face or by phone. After this we design the tailor-made workshop, in line with the dynamics and experience in your team. This is how we determine the structure of the workshop and which steps we will take. In addition, we take into account to creat a workshop that truly is a playful experience.

Added together, we have over thirty years of experience working with LEGO Serious Play. In that period we have discovered many golden nuggets about simple to complex situations. The most important thing we learned: The LEGO Serious Play method unlocks collective intelligence in groups. This allows us to achieve faster breakthroughs in teams, while we have a playful experience.
Make work feel like play
The working method is safe and stimulates experimentation and creativity. We all remember from our childhood: Play is the best way to learn. Despite this, we seem to have lost this skill since adulthood. We try to retrieve that memory and ‘tap’ it from the playing skills that we – all people – have. Hence the motto we use:
